These Terms of Service govern your use of GatheredMind. By creating an account or using the website, you agree to these terms.
1. Service description
GatheredMind provides a student planning and organization service for tasks, classes, notes, schedules, and related academic tools. We may add, remove, or update features at any time.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use GatheredMind. If you are under 13, you may not create or use an account. We may restrict or terminate access for users who do not meet this requirement.
3. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs through your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the service only for lawful, personal academic purposes.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for illegal or harmful activity.
- Attempt to access, disrupt, or interfere with other users’ accounts or the service.
- Upload harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse the platform.
- Use the service to harass, threaten, or deceive others.
5. Your content
You remain responsible for any data, notes, tasks, files, or content you create or upload through GatheredMind. You represent that you have the right to use and share that content.
We do not claim ownership of your personal academic content. However, we may process it to provide the service and maintain account functionality, as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Subscription and payments
Premium features may be available for a fee. If you purchase a subscription, the payment terms are determined by the billing provider and the plan selected at checkout. Subscription charges are processed through Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms and conditions.
Premium subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You may cancel by deleting your GatheredMind account or through any cancellation method made available by Stripe. Cancellation stops future renewals; charges already processed are not refundable except where required by law or expressly stated at checkout. We may change pricing or subscription features at any time, with notice where required.
7. AI features
Some features may use AI processing to analyze uploaded syllabus images or other content. AI output is generated for convenience and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or require review. You are responsible for confirming any information before relying on it.
8. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, data retention beyond normal operating procedures, or that the service will be error-free.
9. Privacy and data handling
Your use of GatheredMind is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what data is collected and how it is stored, used, and deleted.
10. Account deletion and data requests
You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information by using the account controls where available or contacting gatheredmindapp@gmail.com. Deletion may not remove information that a provider or the law requires us to retain.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GatheredMind and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of academic work, missed deadlines, or lost business opportunities, arising from use of the service or inability to use it.
We provide the service on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.
12. Disclaimers
GatheredMind is a student planning tool and is not a substitute for professional academic, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content or recommendation produced through the service.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or fail to meet eligibility requirements. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the service is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining terms remain in effect.
